Yanran received her Ph.D. training in Cancer Biology from the lab of Hans Schreiber, M.D., Ph.D. at the University of Chicago, where she studied immune oncology and developed cellular therapies with world leaders. She received several awards for her academic work, including being awarded as a Goldblatt Scholar. During her graduate studies, Yanran held a leadership position as the Media/ Communication Chair at Cures Within Reach, a non-profit organization dedicated to drug repurposing research. She also studied at the Booth School of Business to pursue her passion in translation and commercialization of medicine. Before joining Panacea, she worked at Boston Innovation Growth, led projects in due diligence for early stage biotech investments and oversaw training of interns. Yanran’s projects touched a variety of topics, including gene and cellular therapeutics, biologicals, small molecules, and medical devices.
